Notes:
One of Cuba's most authentic and famous sandwich, named after socialite Elena Ruz and first prepared at Havana's El Carmelo
Directions:
Spread 1 slice of toasted bread with the cream cheese and the other slice with the strawberry preserves, place the turkey on one slice, and close with the other to make a sandwich.
Note - Some people prefer to use guava jelly instead of the strawberry preserves. Try it both ways.
Ingredients:
- 2 - Slices white bread, toasted and crust removed
- 1 - tbsp. cream cheese
- 1 - tbsp. strawberry preserves
- 4 - oz. sliced cooked fresh turkey
